Dear Captain and the Crew of “Wendreda”,
We had such a wonderful experiences on a day cruise on the Wendreda. It was my first time on a sailboat it turned out to be something I'll put in my future vacation plans.
We arrived at the Ocean Marina ready to board at 9am. Some of the guests were a bit late and tried to explain a complicated driving instruction they were given on how to get there from Bangkok . Something you may note down on your next trip.
After we all boarded the ship, we headed to the Bamboo Island . The captain gave us a brief on the planned activities for that day which were eating and drinking on the boat. Well, beside lunch on the beach, swimming and activities of your choice while we stop for 1-2 hour. Quite complicated, isn't it?
The captain explained that we would arrive at our destination around lunch time and the crew would prepare lunch for all guest. We, as the guests, could go for sun bathing (topless), swimming (naked) or other type of activities you wish to do. By the end of the brief, the drinks start flowing.
When we left the Ocean Marina, we were an hour behind schedule. Therefore, the plan was changing as we were sailing along. Nevertheless, we had a sunny day with a beautiful blue sky, just a perfect day for sailing.
Due to the timing and the wind direction, the captain decided to dock around Larn Island and we had seafood lunch on the boat. Some of the guests insisted to get to the beach for swimming and walking but the wind direction didn't allow us to do so and get back at the appropriate time. So I decided to have a dip in the middle of the sea and other guests just followed. I needed that to get rid of the alcohol and food consumed earlier. Yes, there are more drinks to be served in the afternoon and I did not plan to miss any of them. After 30 minutes of swimming, we started to head back. It was a very relaxing trip back to the mainland.
We have to say that the captain was knowledgeable of the area and the crew was very friendly providing very good services.
My only suggestion for future trip arrangement, all the guests should arrive on time in order that all activities would be attended according to the set schedule. I might even bring my diving gear along next time.
